• How long have you been in business? What is your experience?

Veritas was founded in Anchorage, Alaska, in 2007 and has been connected to Dave Ramsey for over a decade. Our five financial advisors bring more than 100 years of combined experience in financial planning and investment management, with a focus on long-term strategies, retirement planning, and personalized advice.

  • What is PlanMember and UMB Bank?

PlanMember administers your investment account, while UMB Bank serves as the custodian holding your assets securely. In simple terms, we provide the advice and management, PlanMember provides the account platform, and UMB Bank provides the custody and safekeeping of assets.

  • Are you a fiduciary?

Yes, we act as a fiduciary, which means we are legally obligated to put your best interests first when making recommendations.

  • How long will the transfer take from start to finish?

Most transfers take 3–5 weeks, depending on the account type and current custodian. Brokerage transfers are typically quick, but annuity accounts and employer-sponsored plan accounts will require an additional step on your part, either via a form from your current provider or a 3-way call with your current provider and us (with you giving verbal permission for the transfer to occur).

  • What happens once everything is transferred?

Once your accounts are opened, we will email you when the funds from each transferring account arrive and are invested into your new PlanMember account. We will ensure all funds are invested in alignment with your financial plan. After all the funds arrive, we shift into ongoing planning and review.

  • How can I fund my new account?

New accounts can be funded either via a physical check (made payable to UMB Bank FBO (for benefit of) Your Name) or electronic (ACH) transfer. We strongly encourage you to set up a bank account link in your PlanMember client portal once you become a client, so that future contributions or withdrawals can occur quickly and easily and even automatically on a monthly basis.

  • Whom do I contact with questions about my account?

Start with our team—we are your primary point of contact and advocate. For questions regarding your financial plan, your advisor is the best person to talk to. For questions regarding the paperwork process, our support staff is more than happy to assist. Ultimately, we work as a team, so calling the office is always a good place to start.

  • How often do I meet with my financial advisor?

We don’t follow a rigid meeting schedule. Instead, we focus on ongoing plan reviews, centered first on your goals, then your plan, and finally your investments. Meetings happen when needed, based on changes in your life or planning needs, but we prefer them annually. We also stay connected throughout the year through educational events, podcasts, and social media to keep you informed on timely topics.

Most importantly, we’re available whenever questions come up or life events prompt a conversation.
