Joshua Velez

Josh Velez joined Veritas in the fall 2025, bringing his experience in hospitality and pastoral ministry. Originally from the East Coast, Josh relocated to Anchorage in 2022.

His commitment to financial stewardship began in high school when he took his first personal finance class. During his time at Liberty University, he worked hard to find scholarships and part time jobs but still graduated with student loans. This sparked a determined pursuit to get out of debt, a goal he achieved just a year and a half after graduation.

After this, he became a client at Veritas continuing his pursuit of meeting his long-term financial goals. This desire for financial stewardship led him to step into his role here at Veritas where he is passionate about serving people and helping them reach their financial goals.

In August 2025, Josh married his wife, Hannah, and together they enjoy serving at their church, making the most of Alaskan summers at the lake, and spending quality time with friends and family.
